Zone conferences galore!

Thursday, Feb. 26th

THOUGHT:  TOMORROW IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE.  COMES INTO US AT MIDNIGHT VERY CLEAN.  IT'S PERFECT WHEN IT ARRIVES AND IT PUTS ITSELF IN OUR HANDS.  IT HOPES WE HAVE LEARNED SOMETHING FROM YESTERDAY!"
                                                                                                                                 John Wayne

Today was another, another, another groundhog day!   We got up , did another zone conference for the East Mission!   We left  a little early because we had heard it 4 times already and I needed to get some air!  It's a good thing I have taken up a little craft that I can't tell you about because it's a surprise for someone!  I get to sit and work on that while Greg is giving his schpeel!  We had to go to the Temple clinic to get some medication a give a Mission President a shot in his shoulder. He slipped and fell on some wet tile that was around a pool down in Veracruz.  They don't have major government regulations on stuff like that so all of the tile around here is slippery.  He hurt his shoulder pretty bad and his hip!  Greg will give him a shot tomorrow after the zone leader conference!  We drove home and had a leisurely afternoon here!  Not too much excitement!
DRIVING TIP;  if anyone is going the wrong way on a one way street, just move to the side and let them go!  This is happening more and more to me!  I don't know why these people think they can drive on the wrong side of the road now days!  One guy on a motorcycle was going the wrong way right past a policeman on a motorcycle.  Everyone just kept going and all was well with the world!

Driving around town!  Sara saw this pic and wondered
what the car with the bright spot on it is doing
on the right side!  Duh!  We didn't even notice
it going the wrong way on the road!
That's the fun of it!

Yep another pic of what lost looks like!

Friday, Feb 27th

THOUGHT:  "IN A WORLD FULL OF NOISE AND MANY VOICES, YOU ARE INVITED TO LISTEN TO AND FOLLOW THE VOICE OF THE SPIRIT WHICH IS CALM AND QUIET AND LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE"                                                      Pres. Faust

Today was a little different than the past few days.  We got to go to a zone leader conference for the North mission with Pres. Hall!  He reminds me of Greg's brother Doug!  He stands, talks and acts just like him!  I enjoy being with him and his cute wife!  We didn't get to stay for the whole zone conference because we had to hurry and leave to go to  another zone leader conference for the Southwest mission with Pres. Stuzznegger.  He is the nicest guy I have ever met!  He is a dentist from Northern California!  His wife Susan is equally as neat!  We had a fun time and had lasagne for lunch with them.  We were in Netza which used to be the slums of Mexico!  We got lost on the way to the church and had to call the President and get directions!  I tried to get Greg to take some pics but you know how that goes!  After the meeting and lunch we drove back to the Temple clinic to meet Pres. Crickmore to give him a shot in his shoulder.  We also got to see the Smiths and had a little visit with them.  I can't get over how nice everyone is down here!  Amazing people for sure!  We got home late after sitting on the freeway for a very long time.  Greg wanted to meet with the financial guys for the missionaries, but they were gone by the time we got home!  We ate chicken soup I had made the other day for dinner and went to the Andersons for movie night!  We watched Dave - about the guy that looked like the president and acted like him after the president had a stroke!  Funny movie!  We went to bed tired again!!!

This is the main entrance to one of the main freeways!
See the back side of a bunch of little shops on the right!
People set up these little shops everywhere!
I don't know how anyone survives down here
because they all sell the same things!
None of it is worth paying a dime for!
Poor people!

This is why we missed the church.  It sits way back from the
street behind a big gate and fence!
That's the church way down there!

The streets of Netza!
Another pic of being lost, but they clearly cleaned
up this place from the slums it used to be!

Te Amo!
