Oh my "achin" tooth!

Wednesday,  June 3rd

THOUGHT:  "KINDNESS MAKES YOU THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN THE
WORLD, NO MATTER WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE!"

I woke up at 4:30 this morning with a horrible toothache.  I just knew I would have trouble with this tooth.  I went to the dentist 2 weeks ago and he said nothing was wrong but I knew trouble was brewing!  So 4 Advil then and again at 9 am got me to the dentist by 10:15 after the meeting with the Area Presidency we have once a month!  The dentist is very nice and took me right in and dealt with me for 1 1/2 hours!  Ouch!!  There was no pain as he ripped off the crown on the tooth, but he did a mini root canal and now I look like I had a stroke and my face aches!  I hate getting old!!!
Needless to say - today has been a very slow day for me.  Greg has spent most of the day on the phone putting out all kinds of fires so it was a good day to lay low!  I get to go back to the specialists next Thursday for a real root canal and then back to the dentist for a new crown!  Yuck!
This is what I look like with an aching tooth
and numb face!
Bienvenido Mexico!!!

Thursday, June 4th  Happy Birthday Lane!

Today has been a very miserable day with this dumb tooth!  I must have had a lot of infection in it!  Greg wanted to walk up the hill to our office, but I'm not sure that was the best idea.  I spent the rest of the afternoon recovering from the heart throbbing in my tooth!  Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!!
Today was very slow for Greg was well!  Luckily the missionaries are not sick, hurt or crazy right now!  That is great news except for Greg!!

Friday, June 5th

Another fun day going to the Temple clinic.  Greg was very busy seeing missionaries.  I hung out with the Smiths and watched Elder Perry's funeral.  It was a very nice funeral.  One of the thoughts I liked the most was from President Monson when he talked about "Be thou an example of the Believers"  Elder Perry definitely was an example of this every day of his life!  He was such a great man.
After Greg was done the Smiths and us walked down the street - past 8 street vendors - to Burger King for lunch!  Wild times for sure!  HaHa!  I couldn't eat my chicken sandwich because the chicken seemed too chewy!  My tooth is still bothering me and I am not eating!  Heaven forbid if I lose an ounce or two!!!
Traffic was it's usual horrible self!  We made it home and decided to go to the store for some things I needed for dinner on Sunday.  We invited the Griffins because they are still new at all of this.  We ended up parking in the Costco parking lot and walking across the street to this Italian place we had heard about for dinner.  We weren't very hungry and I couldn't eat anyway, but it was a nice place and the salad and pizza we had were good.  Costco was uneventful.  The Griffins had a good time getting all kinds of things.  It takes a month or so to get stocked up when arriving on a mission.
By the time we got home I was so done for the day.  I don't think this antibiotic is working very well!
I am dragging.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!
Sorry - no pics and no fun this week!!!

  1. A Mexican root canal?! Why didn't you come home for that? Wouldn't the AMA let you leave? Did they put on a sombrero instead of a crown? :)
