THOUGHT: Your big opportunity may be right where you are now.
Happy Birthday to LeRoy Stevens - who would have turned 90 today if he hadn't left this life 45 years ago! I know his 4 sons have missed him dearly but are grateful for the example he set for them and the things he taught them.
We have been nervous since our experience on Saturday with the Elder. Today he was quiet until this afternoon when he started again with crazy actions and thoughts! I don't know how we are ever going to get this missionary home for help! Also, we had to drive to the Temple clinic to see an Elder that had passed out - got a huge concussion and a doctor thought he had serious heart problems. Greg checked him out and he doesn't have heart problems, but a nice sore head! After a fabulous😜 lunch at Burger King we then had to drive across town to visit with the psychiatrist about our Elder. She told us not to let him talk about any religious things and that no one should be in with him so he can rest! Well, if no one is with him he will run away and of course he is talking about religious stuff - he is a missionary!
We got home ate dinner, Greg worked on his lecture for this weekend and I started my new craft!
We had FHE at 6:30 where the Hackings told us about what they are doing here in their mission - the welfare and humanitarian specialists. Elder Hacking loves candy and is always seen buying it and eating it! He is always happy! Maybe we all need more sugar!!! We had krispy kreme donuts for a treat!!! No pics today!!
Tuesday, May 26th Happy Birthday Jason!
Welcome to the family and have a happy birthday!
Today has been another mellow day. It has been so nice to hang around the place and get caught up
on shopping and organizing. It's a little place, but still gets messy and crazy!
We are still dealing with our poor crazy missionary! I don't know if we will ever get him home!
The Dr's are giving him more and different meds to try to calm him and keep him under control!
I feel bad for the Elders who have to sit there in the stinky, stuffy hospital room and keep an eye on him.
Greg is getting ready for his big medical missionary seminar this week Thursday - Saturday. He has
a lot of things to do and organize so I have been helping him and staying out of his way so he can
get it all done. I went visiting with Sister Sandberg to a couple of sisters up in the pueblito. Greg dropped us off, we searched for these two but never found them and then walked down the hill to home. I love walking around the pueblito. It's amazing how you see all of these store fronts and then through these alleys are a whole neighborhood behind. Kids are running around and moms are visiting or doing dishes or whatever. I want to take my camera, but don't want to offend anyone. I will get some pics. Greg had to drive over to pick up some stuff he was having printed all by himself. He made it and didn't even crash my car! The Griffins came over and helped us with some computer questions we had! (I always have computer questions!) We also had a nice visit!

My traffic jam pics never quite turn out the way I see things! But I wanted to go straight and cars were going every which way! It took quite awhile to get out of this mess |
Wednesday, May27th
Greg is frantically preparing for this big meeting starting tomorrow. He spent all day calling people, writing his talks, and planning for this thing! We took the Andersons to Costco and got a few things. We also had to go visit the crazy Elder to make sure he would survive through the weekend while we were gone. He escaped earlier today and ran down the hall and down one flight of stairs. He jumped down the next flight through a hole in the stairs landing. It took 4 big guys to catch him and wrestle him back to his room. I guess the meds are right yet! Again I ask??? How are we ever going to get him home??? I just know Greg will have to help do that one of these days!
I think we are all ready for tomorrow - for this seminar! Greg has worked really hard and put a lot of time into this! I hope some people show up!!!
