Not So Holy Week!

Monday, Apr. 6th

A thought from conference!

THOUGHT:  "WE WILL NOT ACCIDENTALLY COME TO BELIEVE IN THE SAVIOR"
                                                                                                                    Whitney Clayton
Today has been another mellow day!  Greg needs to learn how to schedule things a little more spread apart.  We are crazy busy then slow, slow, slow!  Today Greg had some things he needed to get done!
We were in charge of FHE tonight and had assigned everyone to come prepared to discuss their favorite conference talk!  We all had a great discussion and it was very nice to hear the high points of a lot of the talks that touched people!  I was sad to see Jean Stevens released!  I have loved seeing her up there on the stand and praying!!  When will be a great mission mom in London England.  Two of the couples have wayward kids and they were given hope from Elder Nielson.  I liked this FHE!  We need to have more discussion.  It helps to get to know that person!  All is well!!

Here is our new map!
Now I can keep track of where we go!
I am going to put dots where we have been
so here it is nice and clean!

I like this watermelon stand along the side of the road!!

THOUGHT:   "Family is the center of life. It is the key to eternal happiness."   L.Tom Parry

Today was a lot the same as yesterday.  We finally went for a long walk up in the Pueblito across the street from us.  We stopped off at Subway on the way home for a turkey sandwich!  Greg has had a big project finding all the hospitals in each mission!  He has to speak at the Mission President Conference in 2 weeks so he has a deadline!  I'm sure he will get it all done, but it is complicated!  Plus it is keeping him busy so I will let him have at it!!!!  I had a nice day working on my project!
I will take my camera to the Pueblito and take a few pics there!
My new Mexican shirt!

Our exam room at the Temple clinic!
This is itty, bitty!

THOUGHT:   "May the Lord's grace bring happiness now and faith in sure promises to come."
                                                                                                                              Todd Christofferson

We were a little busier today, but sad to be out driving because everyone came back from Holy Week and the traffic was miserable again!   I don't think everyone is back yet so I am gearing up!  Greg had to be at the Temple clinic from 2-4.  We were late getting there because we had to rush up to the Pachuca mission to do a zone conference.  It was a 2 hour drive and we were late because Greg forgot it was today!  He has been thinking it was next week until he looked at his schedule this morning!  It all worked out, but I have to get Greg organized!  He does this to me all the time!  I guess it's because he talks to so many people he can't remember anything!!!   I will have to start writing things down myself so I am not so stressed!  Rule #1 do not go out on those streets when you are stressed or in a hurry!  You will only get a headache and diarrhea!  Just saying!!!!!   While Greg was in the clinic I went to the yarn shop with Elaine Smith and Janey Pocock!  They were both buying yard for an afghan they are making!  We got to have a nice visit with them.  We didn't get on the way home until after 4:30 and that is a very bad time for rush hour!  I thought we were doomed, but the traffic was only bad for a little while and then broke up and we made it home in pretty good time!  That's why I think not everyone is back from Holy Week yet!!!  They are all probably still jammed up on the freeways coming into the city from Acapulco and Puebla!  It could be a month before everyone gets back to work!
The Senior girls had their English/Spanish class at the church tonight!  We aren't learning much spanish, but we are making friends with the spanish speakers and enjoying helping them learn English.  It was a beautiful evening and had a very enjoyable walk home!  We had to do some laundry and get packed for our 4 day trip we are going on tomorrow!  That should be fun!

Driving to Pachuca!
This side of town is flat and pretty dry!

Zone Conference!
At President Egbert's house!
