Mild Week!

Monday, Oct 26th - Sunday Nov 1st

THOUGHT:  "PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU SAID...
PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU DID...
BUT PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET -
                             HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL."

This has been quite an uneventful week so I am just putting in one post!  I kept waiting for something exciting to happen to write about but only a couple of things popped up!
Monday we ran some errands and worked on stuff in our place all day.  About 4:30 we left to drive over to the MTC to have a farewell dinner with the  Beechers.  They are going home after only being here 6 months.  They are the nicest people on the planet!  They have been the psychologists for the whole area for English speakers.  They were told they didn't need to know Spanish but when they arrived here they soon learned that they couldn't function very well in meetings and such without the language.  So along came a couple that are bilingual - the Packards from Flagstaff Arizona.  They are replacing the Beechers.  I am so sad to see the Beechers go.  We arrived at the MTC about an hour early because you never know how long it is going to take to get somewhere.  We walked over to their apartment to visit with them for a minute before the dinner.  They told us they had been packing all afternoon and come to find out Elder Beechers brother had just passed away in Kaysville Ut.  The funeral was going to be held on Friday and the Beechers were trying to get a flight out on Wednesday instead of Friday to get home to participate on the program.  I'm sure that will be possible but how sad that he missed visiting with his brother by only 2 days.  Life is nuts!  We had a very nice dinner and a sad farewell with them.  The Packards seem very nice, which I am sure they are, but we will miss the Beechers!

Tuesday and Wednesday nothing much happened to even talk about!
Thursday Greg took the shift at the Temple clinic so we invited the Griffins to go with us.  Only Sister Griffin came so the two of us went to the Temple for a session.  We needed to pick up our failed insecticide from the Smiths afterwards.  They were putting on a lunch for a FSY couple so we got to butt in and have a great homemade Mexican food lunch!   Mexican food is lots better when Americans make it!!!   We always have a great time with the Smiths and the Anthonys and Zapatas were there as well.  The Pococks have already gone home and the Smiths go home on Nov. 30th.
That will be one very sad day!!!  We didn't get back home until after 5 so these Temple days are turning out to be long days.  It was a nice day.

My 11 1/2 month roses!

Not a great pic, but one guy walking at least 15 dogs!

Walking across the bridge towards home looking at
these power lines that almost touch the ground!

A homemade 7-11!

Thursday - We did some shopping and errands, but nothing special happened today!

Friday - Greg had to have a root canal by the cute endodontist.  He looks like he is about 19.  He is very nice and a good endodontist.  Greg couldn't have the whole thing done though because he still had infection in his tooth.  He gets to come back and do it all over again in a week or so!!  I was heading back to our place down the elevator and saw the Stutzneggers sitting in the hall.  To make a long story short they were there to pick up some things and talk to some people and we ended up getting together after Greg was done and going down to Prada Northe for lunch at our favorite hamburger joint - Ruebens. Greg can only eat on his right side for 10 days!  We pulled the Griffins along and had a great lunch.  We tried to hurry back to the office because the Griffins had a meeting, but it took us about an hour with such bad traffic to get back.  They missed their meeting.  We are a bad influence!  I wish I had taken a pic of Greg sitting in the dentist chair!  Maybe next time!
