We started the day out splitting up. I had my monthly meeting with the doctors in Mexico City that help with the missionaries and man the clinic on Temple square. We decided to have refreshments so I had Peg make a breakfast cassarole with eggs and hash browns and bacon. They all loved it but only after drowning it with spicy sauce from a dish someone else made. I took mine straight up. Peg went with 3 other couples to the tourist market callede Ciudadela. She then walked 5 blocks to meet me at Bellas Artes - the big theater in downtown Mexico City. It took me forever to park (Mexico City is not made for cars) and we finally hooked up. We went to eat at the original Sanbornes restaurant. Afterwards we toured the old post office which is really elegant. We took the Pratts home since he has plantar fasciitis and was really struggling with all of the walking. We did our requisite Saturday grocery shopping and watched Everest with the Griffins. Brother Griffin loves movies and found a place where you can get movies fairly inexpensively but you pay for what you get. I don't think I ever want to climb Mount Everest. Maybe when I am resurrected I can fly by it. That was an intense movie.

It was fast Sunday. Peg had stomach issues with her enchiladas suisas at Sanbornes and stayed home from church. The Bishopric had challenged everyone last week to prayerfully contemplate their testimonies so we had many testimonies and went 10 minutes over our allotted time. On fast sundays we eat together all 11 couples in someones apartment - we all have food assignments and crowd in. It is a fun tradition (started by Peg) and everyone enjoys the time visiting. We have two new couples, the Pratts who are taking the Rices spot in legal and the Carlsons who are taking the Montoya's spot as executive secretary. The Montoyas have been called as mission presidents - they don't know where yet - and are leaving early from their mission. His brother Hugo Montoya is a new member of the 1st quorum of the 70 and spoke last conference time. We were able to talk to some family members on Face time and it was a great day.
