My first headache!!

Thursday, July 16th

THOUGHT:  "WE ARE NOT OBEDIENT BECAUSE WE ARE BLIND....

Well after 8 1/2 months on my mission - today was the first time I have had a bad headache - migraine to be exact!  Bummer😫  I don't remember much from today.  I do remember enough to tell that we took the Andersons and drove up to the MTC because I was missing my neighbor Elder Porter and he has been there 3 weeks and only has 3 more weeks to go!  He is doing great and enjoying his time there at the MTC.  He is such a cute boy - he would have a good time anywhere!
I took a pic of his district and sent the pic to all the moms.  We ate lunch there and drove around to enjoy the peace and quiet of the MTC.  It is such a beautiful oasis up there.  We also got to see the Beechers, Harstons and Gills while at the MTC.  Dr and Sister Gill go home the 3rd of August.  We will miss them as well!  Poor Sister Harston will have big shoes to fill - teaching music and English!
We stopped at Costco on the way home - not for anything particular but you know how it is - we never get out for under $100.  We got home late afternoon and I was done for the day!  I have been really blessed to not have any headaches thus far!  Maybe I got one from studying spanish too long!!!
I bet thats it!!!

The district at the MTC.
L-R Sister Carroll, Sister Rowland, Elder Porter, Elder Blatter,
Elder Bagley, Elder Bono!

This is the Elders house.  It sleeps lie 24 people.
This house is the absolutely farthest away house from everything!
There is a big fence behind the house with barbed wire and probably electricity!
I like the neighborhood behind them up the hill!
Greg won't let me drive up there - he says it's too dangerous!
Looks fun to me!  I certainly can do the drive now!

THOUGHT:  "FORGIVENESS IS POWERFUL SPIRITUAL MEDICINE.  TO EXTEND
FORGIVENESS, THAT SOOTHING BALM, TO THOSE WHO HAVE OFFENDED
YOU IS TO HEAL.  AND, MORE DIFFICULT YET, WHEN THE NEED
IS THERE, FORGIVE YOURSELF!"                Boyd K. Packer

I woke up feeling a lot better.  Yay!  I hate headaches.  We got up and out to go to the temple clinic for our Friday shift!  I go to the church that is close by because it has better internet service and a comfy couch to sit on!  There was a meeting with the President of BYU Idaho in the church, but I didn't know anything about it except people kept coming in and asking me where the meeting was.  I have no idea what they said to me, I just told them to go down the hall and up the stairs.  It must have worked because no one came back!  See - my spanish is coming right along!
After clinic we met up with the Smiths and Pococks and went to Vips for lunch!  We love our Idaho friends.  They have been down here for about 15-18 months now.  They are in charge on the EFY's down here in Mexico.  The kids are out of school for the next 3 weeks, so now is when ALL THE EFY's in the whole country are being held.  One session in a couple of weeks will have 1,100 kids at it at that camp I took pics on the 4th of July.  The Smiths and Pococks work for an entire year to set up these EFY's for a 3 week span!  That's a crazy mission!  The Pococks go home in October and the Smiths in November. I don't know how we will get along without them and  I don't know how we will get to the airport after November when our cheap taxi service goes home!!  They are such kind people!  I guess we will be like all the rest and take a taxi to the airport!
Friday afternoon traffic is just lovely so it took us awhile to get home.  We ate a little dinner and went back to the Andersons for another movie night.  Good times!!!

We love this automatic sprinkler at the temple.
A guy put the hose nozzle through the handle of
a pitchfork to water the flowers!
Love it!

My 8 month flowers were so pretty!
I had to take a pic of one of them.
